Please see below statement from MFC President Rachael Barlow.

The committee would like to offer its thanks to Rachael for her tireless work both as a committee member, and in the role of President this year. Our centenary year has been a huge one for the club and very successful both on and off the field to date.

In acknowledging Rachael’s efforts, it would be remiss not to make particular mention of our Centenary Gala event, held in May. With over 300 Mulgrave people across all generations gathered at the MCG, it was the club’s biggest event in living memory and an evening that has drawn overwhelmingly positive reviews from all in attendance. The Gala, many months in the making, was an enormous project that was driven and executed by Rachael. It will be remembered and spoken of fondly for decades to come.

With Rachael stepping away, an interim committee has been formed to manage the club in the short period leading up to this year’s annual general meeting:

• Ash Tilyard - President
• Scott Davidson - Vice President
• Mark Haywood - Secretary
• Steven Grenda - Treasurer

Thanks to these committee members for their ongoing work and for taking on these interim roles.

As is standard practice, all committee roles will then be declared vacant and open for nominations at the AGM.

As a club our focus turns to the upcoming finals series, where all three of our teams will be involved and striving for a premiership.
