Dean Siakoulis: 200 Senior Games

Saturday promises to be a huge day for the club and one of our all-time champions, with Dean Siakoulis set to become just the seventh player to play 200 senior games for Mulgrave.
It’s yet another milestone for our former captain and six-time best and fairest winner.
Dean joined us back in 2011 from Oakleigh Chargers and Waverley Park Hawks (where, as he reminds us, he won another six best and fairests). He was set to play in our Under 18s when he had the week off at Oakleigh, but then Senior Coach Hayden Stanton slotted him straight into the seniors, where he’s remained since.
Dean also has two additional top-three finishes in our senior best and fairest, was runner-up in the league best and fairest in 2017, and has been named in the league team of the year seven times.
Another member of the 200 club, Adam Booth, will run out with Dean on Saturday, as he has for almost every one of his 199 games over the past 12 years.
“Dean is skillful, tough, loyal and a little lippy. He's one of the best players I've seen in the competition,” said Adam.
“Over my career I've played the most games with Dean and it's been an absolute pleasure.
“Well done mate!”
The seniors take on Upper Ferntree Gully at home on Saturday at 2:20pm, following the Under 19s at 8:50am and the Reserves at 12:30pm. Make sure you get down for a great day to support the boys and celebrate one of our best.
